An investor is looking set up an new talk and music radio station for Cambridgeshire. They have identified a gap in the market for locally specific content aimed 15-25 year olds. They want to create a station that has the pace and excitement of radio one but which generates its community on a local/regional identification.
You will work as part of a radio production team to make a 10 minute pilot extract for a new breakfast show. You will have to program a live show from 7.58 - 8.08am for a weekday slot.. You must include the following elements for your station and show:

Plan and deliver and audio visual presentation to the company executives that includes:
- Radio station name
- Show name and synopsis (50 word outline of show)
- Medium ( breakfast show)
- Genre (Music and talk)
- Music plan with 20 songs in a sample playlist
- Sample ideas for guests/interviews/ phone-ins/competitions/ news/weather/travel reports etc
- Key influences (DJ presenting style)
- Unique selling points
- Catch phrases/hooks/taglines
- Sample station sweepers and jingles (Audio branding segue for station)
- Budget & funding opportunities
- Justify ideas in relation to current trends in UK radio

LIVE TEAM
Producer - Responsible for the overall running of the show including, show scheduling, booking and preparing guests, legal and ethical issues.
Presenter - Writes, rehearses and presents the shows live content, prepares information on topics and interviews guests.

Team Responsibilities:
- 1 x Breakfast show sweeper (audio branding segue for your show)
- 1 x DJ jingle (DJs own specific audio branding)
- 3 x sound effects (minimum) to liven up your show
- 1 x studio guest Live script

PACKAGE/CONTENT TEAM:
Assistant Producer (Content) - Responsible overseeing the radio package and may present it!
Broadcast Journalist - Records the field interviews and presents the package - might be live in studio to answer follow up questions.

- 1x extended local spin on a story/issue/event aimed at your demographic (2- 3 minute) Responsible for making:

NEWS TEAM:
News reader/radio journalist - Writes and presents the new and helps producer make sound design.
Assistant Producer (News) - Gathers, collects and schedules the new and helps make sound design.
Team Responsibilities:
- 1x News show intro jingle, item effects and background music (a news package is an exact length and usually follows a very specific format
- 1x prerecorded local news item to fit into your news package
- 1 x News(Travel & weather)
- script (News to be read live)
